The Galleries: Let your camera bring out the best and the worst in people ...

-travel photography, portraits, landscape & nature, close-ups, panoramas, documentary work ...

Galleries of travel photography:

Bring your camera. Use it with care and spontaniety. Move in close on the special details. Consider the background. Catch the square at the time of day when light is best, and then again in the dusk of night.

Have fun. Portray your favourite vendor on the market. Do it in open shadow or under soft shades of clouds. Never promise to give a photo, but know that if you provide a print, you'll be remembered for ever. Photography is communication, curiosity and friendship, giving and taking, adding and subtracting. It is controlled drawing with light. It inhance your observations and put you in touch with people.

The camera asks questions and gives compliments, teaches and shares. But please erase. Erase a lot. Out of six frames of your vendor, three deserves trashing. Probably four, but the best one, where the smile, the look and the light came down just as you wanted ... this picture will travel home with you, and carry the smell and sound of adventure in every pixel.

It might not take much to improve the shots from your world tours. I hope I can inspire.

get things right:

You can not overprepare for a journey, the more you know, the more you get. Still, free yourself from literature and web-info, clearing the way for your own experience.

My best source of input is local people, wherever I go. Let them give you their story, and let them explain the carachter of the area.
